Brother Alan, prior of Hospitallers of Jerusalem in England, for Holyrood Abbey; with consent of brothers of chapter, granted lands which he held in Galloway, that is, 'Artun' and 'Hirtun', free and quit of all service and custom pertaining to same, namely, liberty and dignity which Roland [of Galloway] donated to Hospitallers, rendering yearly to them 40s.
