Prior Ralph and the Convent of Durham have granted to their esteemed and sworn man, William of Mitford, as a vicarage, the altarage of the church of Oldcambus (BWK), with everything that pertains to the said altarage, except the garbal teinds of the prior’s demesne, and of the whole villa and the teinds of the prior's own animals that are held in his own hands; the said William has sworn with fealty that he will obey the prior and convent of Durham in all things, and that he will serve the aforesaid church in person.
