Patrick son of Waltheof of Prenderguest, burgess of Berwick, has given in pure alms to St Cuthbert and St Ebbe, the prior and monks of Coldingham, Reginald son of Erneway of Prenderguest to the said monks in perpetual service with his whole issue, the Reginald, namely, whom he bought from Adam of Prenderguest, once his lord, for a certain sum of money.
