Alan son of Walter, steward of the king of Scots, has given and granted, and by this his charter established to Coupar Angus Abbey one full toft in his burgh of Renfrew next to the cemetery and a fishing net for salmon in the River Clyde, in perpetual alms, for the souls of King David and King Malcolm and Earl Henry, and others.
