Description (from People of Medieval Scotland)
Ulkil, son of Uhtred, and his heirs, Elias, William, and Thomas, have given, granted, and by this their charter established, to Maurice, son of Master Merlin, his nephew, the whole of the land that Uhtred, son of Gillemichel, had in Upper Ayton on the day he was alive and dead; and they have quitclaimed the land in return for 10 marks of silver.
