Avicia daughter of John son of Eilif of Elliston has granted and by this his present charter established to Saint Mary and Saint Benedict and the porter of Melrose, for the sustenance of the poor arriving there, for the salvation of his soul and all his ancestors and successors, that land which her [father], John son of Eilif of Elliston, gave to them, namely the croft and toft which Richard Kerr held in the villa of Elliston (ROX) […] acre and one rood in his croft near the adjacent croft of Laurence and those two acres of land above ‘Grenloue flath’ and above Greenside, as is contained in the charter of John of Elliston, her father. (damaged)
