William of Ryedale, the knight, granted and made firm by this his charter to Melrose Abbey all the land by the correct bounds which Adam son of Adam of Durham sold to the monks in the territory of Westlilliesleaf (ROX), in free and perpetual alms, with all the freedoms and common easements of the said villa of Westlilliesleaf, as the charter which they have from Adam testifies.
