[Benedict of Pennington and Meldred his brother], with the consent of their heirs, have [given] and granted in perpetual alms for the souls of [themselves] and of their ancestors and successors [land] of [the moor] of Skeldhou (Isle of Man), to the monks of Man (i.e., St Mary of Man or Rushen Abbey), as the syke divides the moor of Godfrey and by other stated marches, free and quit from all earthly service.
