Malcolm son of Earl Morgan of Mar has granted and by his charter established to St Andrews Priory the church of St Moluoc of Tarland (ABD), which his father gave them, with teinds, oblations and all rights justly pertaining to it, and the land pertaining to that church, with a mill built on the land, and a ploughgate of land called ‘Hachadgouan by its right bounds, in perpetual alms, for the welfare of his soul, and the souls of his predecessors and successors. He also grants in perpetual alms the teinds of all his renders of his whole land, namely, of hides, grain, cheese, flour, malt, ‘marts’, muttons, pigs, and of his hunt of meats and hides, and the tenth of his pleas and reliefs, in pennies or in other income. He also grants material from his wood for their buildings and common pasture for their livestock with the stock of himself and his men on his lands without any disturbance.
