Description (from People of Medieval Scotland)
Walter, son of Robert, former persona of Ednam, has given [etc] to Durham Cathedral Priory a half ploughgate of land in Auchencrow (BWK) which he bought from David of Paxton for 15 marks, rendering to Walter a pound of cumin yearly. If Walter cannot warrant the land for the monks, the monks themselves shall have recourse to his land of Leitholm (BWK), which they gave to him in feu and heritage, saving his property, for his lifetime.
