Earl Patrick, son of Earl Patrick, has granted, and established by his charter, to St Cuthbert and the monks of Durham, in perpetual alms, the villa of Edrom (BWK) with the church of the same villa and the chapel of Earlston (BWK) and its other chapels and pertinents, and another villa called Nisbet (BWK), for the souls of his father and mother and all his relatives, and of Kings Malcolm (III), Edgar, Alexander (I), David and his son Earl Henry, and Malcolm (IV), and for King William his lord, David his brother, his lord, King Alexander (II), and himself, his wife and his heirs.
