Description (from People of Medieval Scotland)
William of Mordington moved by charity and out of reverence and love of the glorious confessor Cuthbert and for the salvation of his own soul and for the souls of his father and mother and ancestors and successors has granted and made firm by this his present charter to the prior and monks of Durham at Coldingham one fishery on the tweed, that is, the fishery that he had in 'Schipeswel', with 'Stelnette', which he had in the same place, to be held and had freely and quietly and honourably in pure and perpetual alms.
