David son of Arnold of Quixwood has given to Coldingham Priory the whole of his land with the wood in the countryside of Oldcambus that lies between specified bounds in return for two oxgangs of land with one toft and croft that the Prior and Convent gave him in exchange in Coldingham for the aforenamed land of Oldcambus with the wood, and for the teind of corn of one year of Great Lumsdaine, valued at 5 marks, and the Prior and Convent will give him as recognition a pair of spurs or 2d. at the feast of St James.
