William, son of Sir Patrick earl of Dunbar had granted, and made firm by his charter, the resignation and quitclaim of the villa of Swinwood (BWK) which his Sir Patrick, earl of Dunbar, his father, and Sir Patrick, his brother, made and granted to Blessed Mary, St Cuthbert and St Abbe and the monks of Durham at Coldingham, as contained in their charters.
