Ralph, son of Ealhweald, has sold to the monastic house of Coldingham one house and one toft in the villa of Coldingham, that is, the house which Gerard Smith built, and the whole of Ralph's land that lies between 'Milndene' and 'Halidene', and three perches of land in 'Decemfurlang' (the ten furlongs), which Ralph the prior, and the convent of Coldingham, in his great need, gave him to hold and have in perpetuity, in return for 30s.
