Bertram (I), Prior of Durham has granted and made firm by the present charter the sale of 20 acres of land with one toft in the villa of Coldingham that Ralph, son of Ealhweald, made to Richard, nepos of the lord Simon, late prior of Coldingham, and his heirs; he wills that the said Richard and his heirs should have and hold the said land free and quit in all things, just as Ralph sold it to him and his charter confirmed.
