Pope Honorius III, at the request of Alexander, king of Scots, commands Pandulph, bishop-elect of Norwich, his papal legate, to inspect and establish or annul according to justice, the composition made by William, the said king’s father, and John, late king of England, in whose letter it is contained, a transcript of which, under the seals of the bishops of St Andrews, Dunkeld and Caithness, has been presented to the pope.
