King William to Melrose Abbey; has granted donation which the grandfather [Cospatrick] and father [Waltheof] of Earl Patrick, and Earl Patrick, made of Hartside (ELO) and Spott (ELO), with common pasture of the moor. He also grants those five acres on south side of 'Mosiburnerig' which Earl Patrick gave in augmentation; also whatever right Earl Patrick or his heirs or vassals might have had in the meadowland which monks of Melrose hold of knights of Alan, son of Walter, in the feu of Innerwick below 'Brunrig'
