Richard, bishop of St Andrews, for Holrood Abbey; he has granted and by his charter established all the churches in the diocese which King David, King Malcolm and Bishops Robert and Arnold or other faithful of Christ gave, namely, the church of [Edinburgh] castle (MLO) with Saughton (MLO); the church of St Cuthbert [in Edinburgh] (MLO) with two ploughgates; the church of Corstorphine (MLO) with two oxgangs, six acres of land; the church of Airth (STL) with two ploughgates of land, and a saltpan with twenty-seven acres of land; the church of Livingstone (WLO) with half a ploughgate of land; the church of Kinneil (WLO) with one ploughgate of land, the teinds of the mill and the saltworks of that villa; the church of Whitekirk (ELO) with all its dependencies; the church of Carriden (WLO); the church of Tranent (ELO); the church of Bathgate (WLO) with one ploughgate, as the charters of King David [I], King Mael Coluim [IV] and Bishops Robert and Arnold attest and establish.
