Helen daughter of the late Roger called Porter, in her necessity, has sold and granted to her lord, Sir Robert de Brus, lord of Annandale, a grange with the land on which it is built standing opposite the house of the late Patrick of Scheltun at the head of the villa of Annan (DMF) on the way to the gallows, for a certain sum of money, to hold without claims, rendering annually for the lighting of the altar of St Mary of Annan, 1d. at Christmas.
