Testimony of the chapter of St Andrews concerning the agreement between W[illiam], bishop of St Andrews, and the prior of Durham of the non-payment of procurations, hospitality, custodians, institutions, churches, synods, assistance and vicars’ salaries with certain other privileges. The Church of Coldingham with the chapels pertaining to it are to be free and quit and entirely immune for ever from Cain and Conveth, etc., from the said bishop and his successors and officials of St Andrews, except for what is canonically due from all their other parish churches in the diocese of St Andrews; the boundaries of for the hospitality due to the bishop of St Andrews and his official are limited; the prior and monks of Durham have granted to the benefit of the bishop and church of St Andrews the chapels of Newton and of Hayth from the monther church of Ednam, free and quit, with the bishop of St Andrews to pay Durham yearly through the prior of Coldingham 15 marks, half at Martinmass and half at the Nativity of St John the Baptist.
