John, son of Gunnild daughter of Ealhweald and Aeldrith, has granted, with the consent of Gunnild, his mother, to Richard, nepos of Simon late prior of Coldingham, the sale that Ralph, son of Ealhweald and Aeldrith, his uncle, made to the aforenamed Richard, to wit, of one toft in Coldingham (boundaries given), to be held of John, with 6d. to be rendered to him annually; and in return for this, John's confirmation, the aforesaid Richard has given him 30s. and has quitclaimed one toft, to wit, the toft that belonged to Godwin.
