Description (from People of Medieval Scotland)
Gilbert son of William son of Aldan of Rothbury has sold and entirely quitclaimed to John of Hunsingore the whole land that he had in Coldingham in return for 6 silver marks that he has given him in person, that is, the land which Ralph the cripple gave to the monks of Coldingham in pure and perpetual alms, and which the said prior and monks gave to him (Gilbert); with 12 d. yearly to be rendered to the said prior and monks thereupon, that is, 6 d. and the feast of St John Baptist, and 6 d. at the feast of St Martin.
