Patrick, son of Sir Patrick (I) earl of Dunbar, out of divine piety and for the love and reverence of the glorious confessor Cuthbert, has resigned and quitclaimed to Blessed Mary and St Cuthbert and St Aebbe and the monks of Durham at Coldingham (i.e., Coldingham Priory) the villa of Swinwood, with men and other pertinents, which his predecessors unjustly detained and occupied.
