Walter del Bois for the welfare of himself, Galiena, his spouse, and Richard his heir, has given to St Cuthbert and the monks of Durham, in pure alms, that land at ‘Tauenaus’ by stated bounds with common pasture of the villa of Carruthers (DMF) free from all custom or aids.
