Description (from People of Medieval Scotland)
Richard de Moreville, constable of the king of Scotland, and William, his son and heir, have granted and by this their present charter established to Melrose Abbey, for their souls and all their ancestors and successors, a location in Whitelee (ROX) beside the edge of the forest, for a cowsted to be constructed for 100 cows, and they also granted [that] three houses may be constructed in same location for various specified purposes, in pure and perpetual alms.
